Last year when upgrading the garden I installed a garden light on a round post. The post is 76mm in dia and 4mm thick. The lights were cheap on Facebook, but boy are they bright. They are actually street lights and there is a lot of spill-over into neighbours gardens.
Last weekend I installed an LED street light at the bottom of the garden and whilst just as bright, there is far less spill over. So, I plan to install 2 x LED street lights in place of the current one.
The existing light just drops on the 76mm tube. The LED ones need horizontal 50mm tubes.
What I though I would do as I need the LEDs to be in slightly different angles (not 180 degrees) and I also need to raise the height of the tube, is to sleeve it and then have each LED light so it can rotate.
After that long explanation, herein lies my problem. With a 76mm tube and 4mm wall, I need a sleeve of OD 68mm, but that doesn't seem to exist. Nearest I can get is 63.5mm and that's a little too much slop.
You are clever people - any thoughts how I can fit a sleeve inside?
Cheers
Peter
