Walton 24” box and pan folder

Rescued this from the scrap at work. Apprentices had used it as a project to refurbish and had painted everything with what appeared to be a yard brush, and nothing was set up right. Spent the day cleaning paint off the hits that should be bare and setting it up and it works beautifully.
Special mention goes to Les Sharples at Walton servicing, who took the time to send me the manual and part diagram for the machine. Apparently it’s the heaviest built machine of that size they did, it certainly isn’t a flimsy machine!

its not wasted its virtually given away to the likes of us . I got a mint condition Clarke metalworker drill given from a school all that was wrong with it was the plastic chuck guard was cracked and it failed a test

Waaay back, I had a customer who worked on the rigs. At the time I had my own small darkroom and we got chatting. He said there was a Durst neg/print drier out there which had started "making a funny noise". One of the lads had said "I'll take it home and 'dispose' of it" but when I expressed an interest, it was mine.

Investigation showed that someone had poked a screwdriver through the cooling vents and bent a fan blade...hence the noise.

Yep, proper box and pan folder. Extremely hard to find in the sort of size, usually 3’ and above
