need a roof

Hi, cannot post this in wanted as it is not welding or machining related, I am looking for a GRP roof for an LDV convoy or 400 series, not worried if it is medium or high, looking for around 12feet as there are three different lengths from memory, can be cut off above the glue line / gutter and through the rear steel hoop to make life easier, want it to convert a flat trailer to covered to carry my 1923-4 Matchless light car, I already used one to stick on top of my double cab Mk6 tranny (they all have flat roofs) to give me a sleeping area, cut a hatch in the rear compartment roof and have a ladder,

I was a member there ages ago,but it all changed some time back,what its like now i've no idea,good luck,but i think you're flogging a dead horse here.
I think from memory theres a place in crystal palace(was) that does GRP roofs for camper conversions might be worth a search

I started looking at the camper roofs but want to pay more like £100.00 than £1000.00, keep contacting people breaking LDV's on ebay but they never seem to have an actual van just a few odd left over parts, or they have put a forklift through it.....

I have lost count of the number of ebay breakers I have emailed or rung up, most don't reply, the rest don't actually have the van pictured only a pair of dented rear doors or a starter motor left, will keep trying, the problem around London is the "low emission zone" soon to be updated to the ultra low emission zone, not many LDV's left, we never see smiley face Transits, thought they wee all gone but when I venture out I see loads!

I have several 8 x 4 sheets of alloy faced sign material, from a new homes advertising board, already put some up as splash backs for my benches, makes everyone think I am rich, 1/8" alloy splashbacks, that will do for the sides, a grp aerodynamic roof will make it look professional and will match my Tranny, also 100% watertight, don't want pop rivets on the roof, an LDV roof is the correct width and length,

What about buying an ldv and pinching the roof off it then sticking the ally boards back on it to make a low roof and sell it on

if not there like rocking horse sawdust now

I remember when you used to see an LDV and the roof was pretty much all that was left after they had gone rusty.

got a roof, ruff? for those north of the border, £100.00 and not too far away, bit too long but may end up with a luton on the front, need to cut the grp off of the steel, not today

this is the canoe trailer stripped down, the bed will need to be lengthened towards the swan neck and a bit at the back, will be reusing the galv tube that used to support the canoe racks, must keep the weight down as it is a single axle, running 8ply tyres, will be used to carry my light car or MGC bike, needs to be small to get through my garage and into my rear garden, it has 1" each side of the rear wheels! look at the extending light board, a good 30kg!

yup, I have a stall at the top of Yellow field, Y197 from memory, just selling unloved stuff, mainly car type, although we did manage to sell a hand cranked horse shearer last year, a ladies laser hair removal salon bought it either for display or for a pre laser cut! say hello this year!
