Jaguar xk 120/140

Does any one have drawings for a xk 140 rear shock mounts. the cost of them to buy are in the hundreds of pounds.

Yes, Its not for me its for my friend. Its to upgrade the rear shocks from a xk120 to a 140/50 for a couple of pieces of angle with a stud welded on to them its £500. He's tried the clubs, he is a member of a couple but there seems to be no information about them.

I’m not sure we will have the one we look after back in for a while

can you not buy them and copy then send back for a refund

Virtually unbelievable The XK 120 was designed and built seventy years ago, Fantastic car and everything easy to fix, not like todays manufacturers efforts. Car and myself fifty one years ago. And my next purchase XK150 convertible, Life contains many regrets, these two are among biggest,

Had a xk 150 at work, somehow the drivers door on the outside was 10mm longer than the passenger door yet the inside fram was 10mm shorter than the passengers.And some people wonder why I dispair at british engineering.

I recall going with my 2 Brothers to look at an XK140 which was advertised at Lawrence of Kemnay [when his garage was there], the one in the RAF fancied he'd cut a dash going back off leave in one....

It looked not too bad initially, but I opened the driver's door to have a look at the interior - the door dropped by about 2 - 3" I lifted it, shut it quickly and said it was time we were going.....

Iv worked on 20 plus cars like that and had full chassis up rebuilds and had to contender with getting the doors to fit and building the rear of the car from that
