Do i need one. One for sale near me I am tempted it is pretty big though.
I've got one, useful but they take up a lot of space.
are they better than a 20T press

no tooling with this one unfortunatly, but I am guessing I can make some tooling up on the latheEveryone needs a fly press.Get any tooling you can to go with it. We dragged one out of a scrappers that needed two larger gentlemen. some scaffold poles, a garage door way and a lot of heat to free off, and half an hour later it was running smooth as a new one. They are quite resilient.... At least its got both balls and the arm, that saves some faffing about.
Yep, I make as I need them. Not got the lathe sorted yet so havent got round to anything round for it, but it will be good practice when I do.no tooling with this one unfortunatly, but I am guessing I can make some tooling up on the lathe
I tend to follow that philosophy with tools I might need if I see them going cheap. Generally I find in a little while “I’ve got just the tool for that” when I’m trying to do something. My philosophy is, the time to buy a bargain is when you don't need it, because when you do a) it'll not be available and/or b) it'll not be a bargain.![]()

That wouldn’t bother me at all, as long as it works .....that paint job would annoy me....
