Yea but when I had a gas heater it was raining moisture in my garage....every steel surface was covered in condensation which is why I switched too electric.

Have you considered one of the small diesel heaters quite a few of us here bought[ myself included]?
Very good, mine does a 14' x 10' cave and is thermostatic. Toasty in a very short time.....
They can also be operated remotely but I've never bothered using that facility, although I believe @mrsbruce does. Set it going, have a coffee before you go out.......

Very economical. Last year I was getting 8 hrs heat from 4ltrs of diesel approximately. When it gets the room up to temperature the thermostat kicks in and the heater just ticks over. The noise of the pump is the only issue but I can live with that.How much diesel does it get through?
