Yep I can see the connectionEvery time I see Micheal Gove on TV I see Penfold, Danger Mouse’s sidekick![]()
I better not say what I see but it is related to his adopted fathers old business and involves scales and slime.Every time I see Micheal Gove on TV I see Penfold, Danger Mouse’s sidekick![]()
kids are not going to be very happy with you when they realise you pinched the giant jenga to use as an anvil stand
Brilliant got same issue in fact almost same picture. I’ll have ago no mill thoughI've been getting a bit frustrated with the spanner I bought to turn the gas on and off. It's very short and (possibly as a result of the orientation of the cylinder and regulator) either seems to clash with the regulator or with the gas bottle. So I made a new one (and it went a nice purple colour with the welding heat):

Fairly straightforward to make; the only interesting bit was the 7 mm AF square hole. I took a bit of EN3B bar stock and drilled a 7 mm hole in it. I then stuck it in the mill and got rid of half of it for a length of 30 mm or thereabouts, then opened the round hole into a 3.5 mm deep, 7 mm wide rectangular one. Something like this:

I then cut the end in half, flipped the cut-off bit over and welded it back together:

Then it was back to the lathe for a tidy-up etc.

You could always cut the end off your existing spanner & weld it onto a bit of bar stock.View attachment 204486
