A few days ago I answered the door to a girl wearing patches and identification on a high visibility vest indicating she was collecting for the "Salvation Army". My Wife gave her a couple of Pounds and she went on her way to other houses along the street.
Yesterday we heard that this was a scam.
So I thought about it for awhile, and just for fun what my Wife and I plan to do with future cold caller's supposedly collecting for charity, is tell them we're going to photograph them for identification purpose so that if they are found to be a scammer it will be forwarded to the police and posted on all social media sites. A person's body language should give a good indication of their true motive.
Yeah, looking forward to the next cold caller wanting money.
