Why English can be confussing.

"Train station". Grrr. The station is built on the RAILWAY, therefore it is a railway station. Until they start building stations onto trains, it will never be a "train station".

Standard comeback to that is "What about bus station?". Well it isn't a bus station, that's another distortion. It's an Omnibus Terminus.

What about sentry station?
What about computer station?
What about radio station?

The word "station" has been adopted for so many other meanings that this railway/train/bus station is completely irrelevant now.

Hi, Yes I did hesitate before using acronym or abbreviation but I googled it and it is accepted as an acronym.

Unique is binary and means one, clue being in the first three letters, "uni". If there is more than one, then it cannot be unique any more than a woman can be partly pregnant.

One that gets me: people who say that the average of something is between x and y values, e.g. their average speed on the motorway is between 70 and 80.

That is quite the engineering challenge.

Bridges build over the railway yes, but traditionally tunnels were excavated then the railway laid through them.
