Have you looked at the body of the TRVs to see if they have a flow direction arrow on them? Most are bi-directional these days.
Nope, but I’ve been caught out by the Oventrop ones. No rads getting hot as the tiny strainers in the valve inserts were blocked. Had to fit all new inserts and new line strainers. Not a fan to be honest!Have you seen the IMI flow setter ones? Set the flow the rad needs so when other ones close down the boiler modulates to reflect the new load instantly

checked and found the trv on the rad in the front room and the one in the hallway ar the wrong way round the hot is on the shut off valve and the trv is on the cold side when heat comes through
as bright spark said these are not old 4 years ago but on the chance of there causing the problem whats the easy way to swap them over
its a combi boiler so reducing the presure in the boiler will allow me to remove only one side at a time but if i have to remove the piece that is in the rad as well im thinking drain the system is going to be easyer ? just means a good chunk on addatives again as well
other way reduce the boiler pressuse change one side on the pipe shut off the new valve do the other side chane that valve on the pipe and then remove the rad and change the fittings in the rad and hope it all lines up
some of those type came out years ago kayos
looked and read good until after a while when the rads start degrading they tend to have a habit of blocking up
best and easier way get 2 new valves or just get one
drain your system and change one radiator valves then use the old ones to change the other to be honest rad valves are cheap enough to buy 2 sets but thats up to you
while drained on top up do a good flush of your pipes and each radiator one at a time as it helps to clear your pipes a bit of any old sludge
