Hi folks. I spend quite a bit of time degreasing steel stock, either before welding it together, or afterwards in order to paint/finish the completed item.
It takes a long time, and I'd rather be doing something else, so I wondered about cobbling together a stock degreaser which would 'automatically' degrease full lengths of flat / square / round / tube.
I envisage something like a degreasing tank for car parts (maybe longer) with rollers either side. The length could be passed through and be scrubbed in degreasant by rotating brushes or something. Possibly with 2 or 3 smaller tanks in line, so that the first tank takes the worst off but not all the chemicals are so heavily contaminated.
I know it sounds like job creation, but this is seriously starting to take up quite a bit of my time, so I'd like to find a better way.
Any thoughts???
Al.
