I’m going to make a 2500x1250mm welding table with 90x90x4mm box legs, 100x50x10mm C channel frame and an 8mm steel top.
I’m pondering whether I need 6 legs or if the C channel frame will be stout enough to get away with 4 legs?
The C channel will be position with the open side facing out and inset from the edge by around 80mm with the legs on the back of it.
At a guess I’d say the legs would be 2150mm centre to centre on the length and 900mm on the width. It seems like I should be ok with 4 legs but I’m no engineer.
The other question is who makes really beefy levelling so I can get it sitting nicely without faffing about with shims under the legs?
