Blacksmiths Drill Bits in Lidl

On our Lidl NI leaflet there are blacksmiths drill bits from 12 to 30mm (I think, the leaflet is in the car) sold in groups for £9, full set of 13 works out at £36.

Going to get a set for the Men's shed, should be good enough for drilling wood and I might buy a few myself to fill in gaps in my drill bits set.

It isn't even on the NI site, seems to be south only. Most of the rest is on the NI site however.
They have the porta bandsaw.
Plus @Turbo is in Fermanagh so likely not a kick in the backside away from a southern store.

I have the smaller version kango and it has served me well for years. Has got through a fair amount of work between me and my da using it.
No experience of the dedicated demolition hammer though.

Got a full set of the drill bits today, they range from 11mm to 28mm.

The pack says they are carbon steel with hss tips, a combo I've never saw before.

They are rated for non alloy steel, which is confusing as steel is an alloy! They look decent enough though the cutting edge needs a hone as it's a bit ragged.

I put them in a collet for maximum grip and shortest length.
Bridgeport with its r8 collets works nice

none here in the uk I had to make do with 4 magnetic tool holder racks instead

I always find cheap ones have an awful grind. Easily fixed mind

I find new good drills are ground for peck drilling at 4000rpm and need regrind for normal use
