Today I may acquire a big refrigeration cell (is it right) for free
I've asked to the owner who want destroy this thing that is something like 12x8x3meters
If he confirms that it can be disassembled ...
Me my brother and couple of friends will go there to take this thing to our land in the country
We need a kind of storage space there to put into various building equipment (for the majority scaffoldings)

This weekend I should be acquiring a new mountain bike after my last one was stolen, just gotta get to Wales to collect it.

Yesterday from the shop of “swings and round abouts”. A while back I resurfaced a distant mates front discs (I needed something to practice on being first time grinding) they came out really good I didn't charge him as I gained experience grinding. Yesterday morning the same guy came by the workshop and my first thought was oh no its Saturday, my time go away I don't want to be disturbed. Any way to cut a long story short, after chatting for about an hour and a half and several coffees he said, he’s been clearing his dads shed out, “his dads passed away” and there are a few things I may be able to use, we get the stuff in the shop, now im feeling pretty bad for thinking go away its Saturday. He would take nothing for the stuff although I did manage to get him to take something for the fuel.

Any way I am so privileged to have my dad and mum still with me. Ive felt pretty guilty all weekend.

Thats it got it off my chest. My weekend changed as I did have couple projects to do but ended up cleaning some of the stuff the guy dropped off.



Here some pics I gotta figure out what chesterman thing does and if I need it, the long calipers might be useful vices are always handy, a handy 1 gallon jug and old weed sprayer thingy and an old union hand drill (ornament) . Its been a good weekend although I still feel a bit guilty for my thoughts.

I have a few chesterman height gauges.
Not just useful for marking out but also useful setting out on a milling machine by either using the blade or putting a dti clock on it and zeroing off jo(gauge) blocks
I have a 48” one I use for shafts

I have a 48” one I use for shafts

Used it today for marking out something I used a b lack permanent marker till i get some proper layout ink. I am going to make a holder fro the dti clock great idea cheers pressbrake

I'm always looking for something interesting
On Monday I went to my local Lidl looking for the portaband , but I didn't find it so I bought a set of driver bits and a set of bimetallic hole saws for myself and a set of diamond hole saws (for tiles) for my father and my brother

Today I was looking for informations and opinions about the Lidl portaband and the majority of who bought it send it back because broken /damaged not working etc
So if I will need something to cut "precisely" and or repetitive length at a precise angle I will probably buy an abrasive chop saw
I was wondering that I been unlucky because I didn't find it but maybe it's better that I didn't

Got a few more bits for one of my v8 toys, dry sump, bellhousing and flywheel assembly that will allow the engine to run in the chassis lower than a snakes belly

not everyone's that honest here so don't think they are .the government are worse still loads of stuff falls off the back of lorries every day and it never gets broke

Not quite acquired yet but I have first refusal on this.

A stainless steel unit from a hotel. Remove the lid & you have this.

It was part of a commercial dishwasher system, this was the drip tray between the washing & drying units. Not getting all of the rollers but I don't need them anyway. They will be replaced by solid bars across the unit, the tank will be filled with water & it will become a plasma cutting table. Refit the lid & I'll have a s/s welding bench!

It was acquired by a mens shed member for us to use but we realised it was too big for us. There was a smaller unit that attached to this one to turn the trays of dishes 90 degrees.

This one will be used in the shed & I've been offered the large one for my use.

What would be a fair price to offer for this, bearing in mind we got it for free? I spend all my free time doing stuff for the shed so I'd likely get it for free but I'd feel guilty doing that. I was thinking £50 plus I would make & fit legs, bars & a shelf on the smaller unit.

Dewalt 18v 90 deg drill & a Dewalt 18v impact driver both going perfectly, will be left into the Mens Shed for their use.
Dewalt 18v & 14.4v drills need trigger switch as variable speed not working but otherwise ok.
Makita (I think) 110v gutbuster drill, old school made from girders quality, working ok but needs a chuck.
Not a bad deal at £11.
