Recently I got a woodburner and now its cooling down a bit I'm thinking it ought to be installed..
I've got an oil fired boiler in at the moment but its ugly, noisy and oil is expensive.. I've take what may or may not constitute a sealing plate out to have a look up the chimney, and a couple of foot up there is a 5" flexi pipe. The wood burner has a 6" flue. Is it ok to reduce it it? I'm sure there will be more questions, but best to start with the basics.
Oh and BTW I'm skint so replacing the liner is a bit of a non starter at the moment

pass it. I knew more than the building inspector regarding part J
How the hell did we ever survive for all these centuries without a stainless steel flue liner? Not condoning the use of a knackered chimney but surely only a tiny fraction of them are unfit for purpose.
