I’m currently reading through a blog by a couple who are doing America's by motorbikes from Alaska down to South America and south of the border has been fascinating.

Spent some time in Colombia . . . and only driven through Columbia . . . you can buy the t-shirt in airport pointing out the difference

I was there in Cartagena for a week in 98 when the drug cartels were quite active, to be honest I was pretty ignorant and didn’t know any different, thinking back I probably should have taken some more precautions but I seem to remember it being quite a nice place.

Dont know much about the flora and fauna, been a couple of times in my sea going days, Cartagena and some other place, I forget the name of. Actually could have been anywhere in the world as it was compounded and the yanks who ran it were flown in and out.

But from what I saw, there were many beautiful women. I was supposed to go there working in the mid 90s, commissioning an oil plant, did all the seminars, hostage training etc, but the ended up going else where, probably a better job who knows.
