TV Scart question..

Hi all
Not tried this before, but is it OK to run two TVs of a single output from the sat receiver.
I just bought a scart plug with three female output sockets. They each have a switch to turn them on, which made me wonder if one is not supposed to run them all at once?
Basicly, our HD & DVD recorder has quit and we have a little smart TV that records onto a stick, so I want to run that at the same time to record, while watching the bigger one and let it record lare at night.

Any suggestions?

Probably wont be a great picture but don't see why you should not try it.

And the passive ones were cra not very good but it's SECAM anyway.

Only problem you might get is if all the wires in the scart lead are connected and the TV's fight over turning the box on and off but you could snip off the pins if that is an issue.
I would try with each individually then both together to see if you get a noticable drop in picture quality with 2 connected but there are ways around it if you do.

Short answer is no. Long answer depends! The TV expects a CVBS signal of 1V pp. at 75R. If you split it, you end up with half of that at best. That will cause loss of brightness and contrast.

What you need is a CVBS distribution amp. I built my own 4 output and it might be in a box here somewhere if you want it. It is RCA phono sockets so you will need conversion cables SCART to phono.

Thanks for the offer, but this is a very temp solution, as I have another sat box coming with two outputs off a dual LNB.
I will give it a go and hope the smoke stays in..
