100+ .577 Minie Ball rounds for an old Enfield, I think. The thin waist expands out to seal better against the barrel, helping velocity. About 550 grains weight, so they'd sting a bit and leave a nasty bruise.

Yes - the Metabo is new, only a few weeks old - has only been used with a few slitting discs so is pristine.

That's very nice, a reverse flow off set smoker. I started making one a few years ago, then lost interest and my brother turned it into a simple BBQ
Ive got the parts to make a UDS smoker. Just need to find the motivation now
Yesterday i had to make a emergency gate to fill a gap..that had always had a sheep hurdle in it however the horses had found a way to knock said hurdle over and get to the bale yard..about 30 busy bales later to the workshop it was!! Ile give it a week their then next time i have galv going this will too

It's surprising how much it cuts down on escaping nasty niffs just by sitting on it. If you sit well back then try and arrange your tackle to block the gap at the front, then all the better.

We have heat recovery ventilation, I fitted it maybe 15 years ago as we gutted the house and it was easier to install the pipes. Works a treat but I have never thought of linking it directly to the bog. Its due for replacement, probably next year, maybe I will extend it when I do. It's go a hell of a boost on it, not sure I want my intestines sucked into the heat exchanger in the loft
What sort of efficiency? Ultra low energy / well insulated place is it?
I know plenty of folk who've built exceeding passive standards. Some are under 2kW for whole house space heating per day.

The main problem we were trying to solve was condensation. It's an old stone house up a hill in the pennines, no cavity in the walls and was a stone flag floor directly on the soil. So we needed ventilation but wanted to conserve heat. When we gutted the house we put in under floor heating upstairs and down and I bonded 50mm cellotex/kingspan backed plasterboard on all external walls.
Condensation is much improved and heat doesn't disappear out the window. It's still a big old lump of a house and I'm still improving some insulation but far better than it was. No mould on the bathroom mullions anymore.

I think I win the award for the tiniest thing made today. The material guide for my Juki was cobbled into place, as they didn't have the adaptor for my machine.
Until today, when I milled an adaptor plate for it. Now I can move the guide up and out of the way, without taking it apart.
I’ve even took pictures to prove it.
