So I was in Wales with the kids at some zoo and came across this bit of fabrication. Now what we are looking at is a Tiger cage reforcement thingymebob. The black post is tubular and if we look at the square fencing this is level and true with the world . You can't see it too well but the square post is 90 degrees to the base and the concrete is level and is about 60 cm thick. The tubes had been profiled with a laser cutter on the end that attaches to the black tube. I could not get close enough to photograph the welds because I was scared of the tiger but they were pretty bad . They is still another 8 foot of fencing above the red top tube and the base is about 50mm above the concrete.
I honestly could not understand this job ,,very expensive for the zoo very unsitely . I'm sure some of the hobby welders on here could do much better so maybe there's a business opportunity for you .
