Back in Banking days pre-computers [yes, I am that old ], each customer had a 'record card' for recording all info about them and we used to code some of them with letters e.g. AB [=awkward b*stard]. We had many more.
One day I was in an interview with an AB who was adept at reading upside down. He asked what that stood for and I managed to get away with "Oh, it's just an internal filing code to make retrieval faster, thereby minimising your wait time". He fell for it, so not that bright after all.......
