was watching the other day red lights on the railway crossing 6 cars went over on red and the barriers were coming down 2day 5 went over and the 6th hit the barriers coming down and bust it is it realy worth the risk the road blocked for an hour till they were repaired

In Pool town centre there is a level crossing, just by the station.

The amount of times I have watched "humans", well they looked humans. Cut round the barriers, under them as they are closing and by flexing the joint.

When I worked at the Steelworks we had a few morons who thought they could beat a Sentinel loco pulling a 250T iron ladle. Most were lucky but for those that didn’t wasn’t much left of the car.

when the traffic builds up I've seen them pull up on the crossing with hardly anywhere to go if the barriers came down .I've shouted at a few saying are you stupid or what .they just turn away and pretend they didn't hear

Theres a busy one near me, british transport police turn up every now and then with a van that has a camera on a big pole. I wonder what the fine is?

Near me we have a foot path crossing asset of double railway tracks. It is on a popular dog walking route.
So, there is a gate and a set of Red green traffic lights.
When the lights are red, the gate is held shut. So when green, gate is free to open.

I have seen people climbing the gate, when it is locked, carrying a dog over the gate or sliding under the fence.

I was waiting once, you could see the quarry train approaching, the couple waiting with me asked.
"why is there traffic lights here, there are no cars" as the man tried to force the gate.

I pointed to the train and said ;"That's why."

They replied; "We don't get it, why would they stop a train for us?"

That point I walked away.

They are perfectly safe, it's the idiots that ignore the signs, flashing lights and barriers that aren't safe to be driving.

I wonder if drivers getting caught doing this kind of thing should have to resit a driving theory test to remind them about the basics.

Agree wholeheartedly. Absolutely no excuse for putting everyone at risk like that. Sometimes I do wonder if the controllers encourage the idiots though? The Horton Road crossing near here comes down and stays down, despite there often being more than five minutes between trains coming into and out of the station next to it at slow speed. There is no reason why the controllers couldn't be a little more aware of building traffic and let a few through between three or four trains.

Easier not to say anything I find and let nature takes it course...in London "red light" means 3 more cars!

Let me fix that.
Most are late for work because they couldn't be bothered to get up at a reasonable time and leave early enough.

Most mornings il be sitting outside a customer's house half hour early with my coffee and a book while I'm waiting for 8.
I'd rather not rush and stress about traffic.
