Any Cabinet Makers Fancy a Job

Would like a drinks cabinet made preferably from pitch pine. I have a pitch pine mid height storage cupboard I'd like to base the cabinet on. Idea is to have two doors, each with two panels and top ones glazed. Approximately 80cm wide and 200cm high. Anyone on here able to do this sort of build to a good standard and interested in doing it? A mild looking oak would be second choice if pitch pine is too difficult to source.

Yes please. The style is quite traditional and nothing fancy. I can get a photo next weekend.

This is a corner one we have, similar style with the pelmet and skirting style on the base. But as it is wider I think it would be best with two tall doors and rectangular and not a corner cabinet.

Weird thing is I hardly drink, occasional beer and occasional whisky. But love pitch pine and would love a cabinet made from it.

Pitch Pine looks really lovely, especially if you get a nicely figured piece. I remember making an arched top cabinet once and it took two go's to get the top right. It also took a good deal of effort to get the planer clean afterwards, the resin got into every part of the blades.

Workshop smelled great though.

A friend still has some heavy lumps of pitch pine, about 9" x 3" They were staves from vats in a tanning works. You cut the first 1/8 " off & the timber is perfect. Some of it is a deep red in colour & so loaded with resin that it covers everything with sticky sawdust, running it through a planer is a disaster as it garms the feed rollers up. The smell is divine.

There's no cabinet makers in Fraserburgh. I have a semi-retired joiner doing some work for me at the moment, will see what his work is like and if he fancies it.
