Been looking at both these welders ..the 170 model is more expensive but is it worth the extra money or is there better machines for the price ,any advice or feedback appreciated
You pay a substantial amount extra on the purchase price for these things for Rtech to collect it when it goes bang. The only reason im going with rtech is the finance and warranty ,i dont know of any other brand that does it
Where else can i get a tig on finance buddy ill have a lookYou pay a substantial amount extra on the purchase price for these things for Rtech to collect it when it goes bang.
A lot of distributors offer finance. There is a lot better ways to spend money than on an Rtech. They are quite expensive now I think
Yeah but wouldn’t it make sense to actually use it every now and then to make sure it’s actually working. For all you know the AC side of things may have a problem and your already 1/3 of the way through the warranty. Also when you buy equipment like that are you not intrigued to actually learn how to use it. Never seen the logic behind buying to store. I’d be itching to get it struck up and learn to use it.I got a EXT170 just to do one welding job on aluminium, Ive had it a year now, but still havnt tried aluminium yet. my way of thinking if you get all the bells and whistles on it, you cant go far wrong if you decide to use them, Ive only used pulse on DC a couple of times so I've stil got plenty of options to try later

Plenty distributors offer it now, some 0%, some not.. Think R-tech were first, then us and then a few others went for it. It really helps people buy the machine they really want, rather than settling for something lesser.ill look further into it before i jump in then mate
