So, at present i just have a small, trend, hand router.
Id like a router table (of course, its not going to fit in my garage, but ill cover that issue later).
I want it for doing template work initially. Ill cut a template on the cnc machine, and use the router table to finish rough cut wood by running the bit bearing on the template.
So, initially, i dont need fences, although ill need to add them in the future.
I have this the top of one of these -
Just the top, cast bit, nothing more. Well, I have the fence, but I'm using that on my table saw.
Here's a bad photo of the base of the cast section -
Because I don't have a firm plan, and my rough plans nay change, I'd really rather not drill the table, so I need a way to fit a router spindle under the table.
I have a small hand held trend unit, but, if I could work out rise and fall, a kress bare spindle may be a better idea?
Has anyone got any bright ideas as to my best plan to stick a spindle somehow under that oval hole?
I mean I've got a whole spare linear slide unit I could weld on sonwhere but it seems a bit excessive to have some fancy CNC ball screw unit to bring up a spindle on a router table!
Any suggestions welcome.
Thank you
