Unfortunately they do get abused. See a lot for sale with holes drilled everywhere.A real round-tuit job, filling my shell damaged Record 643 vice with JB Weld. One more application to go, then this little thing is done. Such a shame it happened in the first place (I bought it like that!) as this is a top vice for the bench drill.

Here’s mine,only had it about 6 years.
Finished skimming my machine vice with JB Weld. I was watching a documentary about Fred Dibnah and noticed he had the very same vice on his small mill!
