Best shear/nibbler advice

Using too many discs, thought about an air tool suitable for straight and shapes, steel up to around 1.8mm. Any suggestions, something decent.

My generic shear (Aldi branded) copes with 2mm regularly, although not rated as such. So I would say any air shear bar Silverline should do you.

my first Makita elec hand shear (scissor action) got nicked, then bought a Bosch nibbler where little bits (like 1/2 moons) get chopped out......
prefered the Makita but the Bosch was good a the tight radious's...vibrates like hell tho......

I worked at a coach builders where nibblers were banned because of the half moon chippings!

Get a nibbler
I had a old school electric one that could do 1/8 steel thoughit was a bit big

If you look at my last post in my alfa project thread you will see how tight a curve a Bosch Nibbler will cut.
The discs are about 75mm dia and I needed to cut them in 2 goes, a rough cut then a final cut to size.
I think it"s a brilliant tool and wouldn't be without it but it might struggle with 2mm.
I wouldn't use it on steel that thick but it might work.

Had a nibbler Great job but Stainless killed it pretty short order. You would wonder at that .

Plasma . . . I can't remember the last time I used my nibbler, and I used to create bag fulls of decorative half-moons.

Apologies for my loose use of terminology.
I have a Bosch electric shear.
Also have a nibbles, that cuts the crescents and I never use it.
I have a plasma (broken at the moment) but would never think of using it for something the electric shear can do.
The shear is far quicker and accurate and no dross, sparks or cleanup.

I'd save your money on air ones i've tried shears and nibblers they don't come close to a proper electric shear.
