It’s a first generation zx10r C2H. Spares and aftermarket parts are ten a penny for it
It’s very easy to flick about. I bent a cheap Chinese rear set peg once which was scary as my foot slipped off mid lean. Still got the scuff on the boot lol.
Yes unfortunately owning a Ducati comes with a proper price tag. Beautiful bikes though especially the panigales. The 1098’s and 848’s are my personal favourite lookers.
I sold a 888 to buy a horizontal borer. Financial mistakeI'd love an 851 or 888. Better then money in the bank!
I’d question whether a footpeg hanger doesn’t carry any load!
Its a Panigale man..you cant start bolting bits of pig iron to such a work of artFlatten the front, make a lug and drill through to bolt it on from the rear. You can make a lug from steel it will last longer. Paint it with wheel silver and nobody will notice.

I wouldn't be happy with a cast alloy foot hanger being welded back together. Would rather billet machined or steel.
Thats what a sexy Bike should Look like ! Add a HOT blonde on it and it doesn’t matter how well you ride the bike or the blonde for that matter !Chap in the local garage has a 748 for sale - search for 'Ducati' on Gumtree [Highland].

It’s got very little to do with welding confidence, skill, abilities etc.
It’s all about the junk they chuck in the cast and the differences between the properties of the cast and the welded area. Some simply don’t weld. Some weld but don’t hold out for long. Some weld beautifully.
Be very understanding of the difference between the cast and the welded material.
The cast won’t suffer with creep or fatigue but the welding can.
The cast never had a HAZ until now.
The cast broke because it was strong but brittle the welding is ductile.
A lot of advice round welding is “jump on it a couple of times and if it doesn’t break your all good”
With steel that’s often the case. Aluminium however not. That stuff can catch you out over time. Use it as a temporary measure but I’d consider getting an oem or patern part as a permanent fix.
I don’t know because I don’t know how he broke it.how well were that made? Can you trust that not to break??
