these days I use a patch on the inside of the tyre for a puncture. the last one I did by pluging the puncture from the outside for the tyre, was to silicone a nylon screw into the tryre and then cut the head off. it worked perfectly until I changed the tyres 4 years later
he took them off removed the crap out and it was fine
That’s the style of can I had in the mid ‘80’s,jubilee clipped to the frame tube of my 750.View attachment 178229
I bought the can above over 30 years ago, I remember carrying it on a moped that used inner tubes, the instructions on the can do say that it's suitable for both tubed and tubeless tyres, I then got a bike that ran on tubeless tyres so I invested in the other style of repair kit.
Anyway, over the years this can has been in the boot of a few cars, stored in cold/hot lofts and garages, moved house etc.
I now have another bike that uses tubes, I felt the rear tyre going flat whilst returning to my garage the other month, I thought lets try this stuff out,....I really didn't expect it to work especially after all these years but it did! I ordered a new inner tube for the bike, fitted it a week later, that Holts stuff were still doing it's job by the way.

Here is the original, Dunlop official tubeless tyre repair kit,
Puts me in the same category as you, then. the picture bob shows is on the edge where garages would be sucking through there teeth and shaking there heads then rub there hands and say you need a new tire even though its only 2 weeks old . suppose they have to to cover there asses but nothing wrong with it doing it yourself and its not likely to go down![]()
no names mentioned and not all tires went on the pile with a small nail hole in them that got replaced they used to spray the shockers with wd40 and say they were leaking
then take the old ones
a better scam than sergeant bilko could think upView attachment 178229
