Bessey are good but i seriously cant agree about out of square.

I threw two cheap cast aluminium ones in the bin a good while back that were not square nor did they even sit flat.

I have one like 100mm in @KimB's post, I used to build my gate, outside, on gravel, by carefully chocking the other end(s) of the box tube. Not easy but it did the job.

They are cast though ? One suspects damage more than poor build

Yeah they were definitely cast.
Went in the bin the same day they came out the box.

Simply cant believe they started out that way. Unless we are talking fractions of a midges privates

I have a set of record clamps, they have been very useful on box and angle. There is a lot of scope in the jaws.

Thanks for all of the advice. I bought a pair of Bessey clamps. I looked at loads of different pages for advice. I know bessey is a good name for wood working stuff, for the same price as the other ones it was a no brainer.
I bought a pair for £111 delivered today will see how they are, if they’re good I will order another set.

Only thing I see wrong with them Kim is the single screw, they are only any good on the same size material . The ones with two screws can be used on different sized material and still be square without needing packing pieces.

The screw is on a swivelling Barrell. It’s meant to be able to clamp different sized things together.

It was on amazon. I typed in the model number and then bought from amazon because I could get next day delivery. It seems to have gone up in price on amazon now. Loads of places to get them for the same price

Yep. They are the same exact ones I have.
Little tip— mill off the sharp corners 3-5mm. It allows your tack to just roll down the inside slightly for a better hold against pulling. It also allows you to place the job back in the clamp with a tack on the inside if you need to.

I can see why you may have thought that as it does say '2 x 90 x 110'.

Cancel the order and buy the two on eBay that I posted a link to..?
