I dont see why not, its pretty much all that holds the spare wheel up on my MK Bedford. Thats got a chain welded to it with a bar that picks up on two wheel studs.

i'd be looking at a ratchet strap mechanism, or a freewheel mech off a pushbike.

ratchet straps can usually be picked up off the side of most A-roads or motorway.

What are you putting it under a 33 won’t fit under a disco 1+2

Not sure is this any use, these are used on Landrover 2.25 engines to tension the timing chain

it is a L200 mate
