Concrete chemical fixings-- Total numpty question.

I detest those toilets. They look so wrong. They always come loose. No proper engineer ever designed those!

Mine has been chem fixed to the wall eight years now.. The cabinet is of tge floating type on m8 chem fixed and it weight is far greater (i doubt two strong men could hold it with all the stuff my mrs has cramed into it !

Let me say is again correctly done chem anchor is definitely stronger than the masonary or perhaps even the shear strength of the fixing

Oh I don't doubt the strength of the anchors - it is pulling the wall down that scares me. Have you seen the walls in modern buildings?

Oh heck yes (they have a special place in my contracts ) actually my biggest issues are hollow block thermalite block and old sandstone..
Best engineering brick and bad none grippy mortar is another matter in other regards on gate posts

Properly fitted they don't

With the bamboo wood, Vileroy and Boch kit and of course labour there is £10k in that picture, and it's not even finished.

The Gerberit frames are spot on
