I asked this question on another site, but did not receive a reply. Maybe someone here can help.
I do not have any experience with VFD's so I hope that someone can help.
I have a Kami Maschinen Knee mill without a quill. The mill suits my needs, but drilling by manually raising/lowering the bed is a pain. The bed has a power up/down motor to quickly raise/lower the bed, but the speed cannot be regulated.
My question- can I add a vfd to control this motor allowing me to set a very low motor speed, so that I can slowly raise the bed for drilling.
My knee motor specifications:
3 phase- induction motor- 400v
0.75 kW
2.2 amps
910 rpm
50 Hz
Thanks!
