+1 for bandsaw - i have a generic "5x7" as sold by machine mart etc. its simple, reliable, and accurate - once fettled!
out of the box, the cheap evo saws seem ok, but blades seem horrendously expensive for lifespan.
you could get both - a second hand bandsaw, and an evo, for your budget?
the bandsaw is also *much* quieter, and can be left to cut whilst you're doing something else: when i was making car ramps, i could leave it cutting 10 or 12 pieces of 25mm angle at once whilst i had a coffee, or did another job.

Dont like the fibre ones to many sparks tried one once, I got a Mac 75 cold cut saw second hand £150 good bit of kit blades are expensive dont use it much, had a small draper bandsaw for a couple years bought it second hand did ok for the size never let me down and i could use it in the vertical mode, last year I picked up a secondhand 12x7 Truecraft its a old chinese thing but it cost 200 quid and works very well, like been said before it quiet and you can do other things while it cutting, only thing I miss is the vertical mode table.

The evo ones are designed to work at around 2500 rpm I believe! Same as wood bandsaws that spin too fast to cut metal also

Thats the same as the one I had but mine was on a stand with wheels and was silvery grey good little saw

I have the rage3 with the general purpose blade...I've only used it a couple of times for metal cutting. It did a good job but not a pleasure to use...great for wood though. With metal it feels rough...I'd go with a band saw if I had more space.
What do you fellas think of this one?

I looked at that one too...with evolution you need to be mindful of the replacement blade cost. Some of their blades are just crazy prices....I bought a brick cutting blade for my rage3 and it was obscenely expensive but I needed to cut corner bricks so had to just pay up!
