When the 'no carry' legislation came out in Scotland I asked our local Bobby [remember them?
] what was the situation when I carried a knife for work purposes and wasn't going to leave it there at finishing time?
She said that as long as I went home from work and left the knife there before going out again, say to the pub of shops I'd be fine.
If I went straight to the pub with it in my pocket and was challenged, I'd be in trouble. Seemed fair enough in a small village, but in a city I don't know how you'd fair......
