That’s another possibility to be fair. The panels will be painted but i could do something with rhat

You could also make a little tool to push a little dimple in the panel so the screw head is flush but inset.

stick in what we call spoot bolts, used to hold gutters together round headed .cross flats to tighten them with and a square nut behind, farmers favourite.......

The problem is with "built" rat look, proper rat look is something that should evolve.........not fake rust.
