trying to decide
hi bud I did ye. I poster a different post a few weeks ago as considered it a vegaview and e684. Site is as going to buy from in Ireland closed down since so anywhere else is €100+ so out of budget. The vegaview is all I could consider now as only have €300 to spend. Have use a mates sentinal since and like the feel and look of it and view. Viking has small bit better clarity 1/1/1/2 vs 1/1/1/1Have you considered anything from Optrel?
I tried out a mates speed glass 9100x and didn't like it....just didn't....feel right(don't know how to explain further)Have a look at speed glass they come up on eBay quite often
If you've used a sentinel and liked it just get one of thoseI tried out a mates speed glass 9100x and didn't like it....just didn't....feel right(don't know how to explain further)
Where are the viking lens 12 for 5 mate?So after consideration. I decided to go with the Viking....better clarity and bigger screen twisted my arm....mostly though after a lot of reviews and videos etc the sentinals outer lens seems to get scratched easily due to its shape and also lens about €6 + €8 for 1 here in Ireland where as can get Viking lens in UK 5 for €12 and €17 delivery
5 for 12€Where are the viking lens 12 for 5 mate?
here ya go lad about €11.50 for pack of 5 outer and they do inner for about €4 ler pack of 55 for 12€
so a few days later of using the viking 3350 and its fantastic. Viewing area is massive and makes it much easier to see what I'm at in out of position welds. Puddles much more clearer and don't get the same glare I uses to get on my old Esab warrior tech helmet. Very much recommend the viking
Go for it mate, the viking is really good... I have one and i find it better than the speedglas i use at the moment!I need a new lid the cheap ebay special I have just dont cut it anymore
I know I offered Seno £200 for the speedglas and the next time I logged on you had snapped it up!Not inthe same price bracket although some have had good results with cheaper lids, i personally think the lincoln viking 3350 is a good value for money no nonsence welding helmet with briliant optics... If you look at the classifieds you often spot bargains as forum members often upgrade their kit, i bought a speedglas 9100xx welding helmet for 200 quid. Its not with me yet but i have the same 9100i with the smaller digital display and its good...
Sorry mate, I thought you didn’t want it ! To be honest I only bought it for the ADF, I have already a speedglas with adflo unit but smaller display ! I might put it up for sale although the logistics of sending something that fragile/delicate is not something I contemplate of doing !I know I offered Seno £200 for the speedglas and the next time I logged on you had snapped it up!
its cool mate you snooze you loose lol,Sorry mate, I thought you didn’t want it ! To be honest I only bought it for the ADF, I have already a speedglas with adflo unit but smaller display ! I jumped from the €80 Esab warrior tech 1/2/1/2 with an orangey tint when welding to this Viking and I'll never look back. Comfortable, plenty of adjustments in the headpiece, viewing size is brill and vision is amazing with the true colour technology similar to that of the speed glass and miller etcI need a new lid the cheap ebay special I have just dont cut it anymore
