Fine on ceramic but when you hit porcelain you can and will melt drill bits.I've only ever used masonry bits no hammer bit use some masking tape as it stops the bit slipping
Yes have a set of those. Work well and seem to last well compared to some I've used. Macrist make good core cutters too.i used these and they were very good altho rather expensive

you don't need the sucker guide a piece of wood with a hole drilled in it works just as well
I drilled holes in a mates bathroom tiles, after they had been glued to the wall, with one of those bits and it worked aYes, they are already installed so I don't want to crack any. Some drills I've seen look like little arrow heads but so far nobody has recommended that type.
