new torx screw driver set thoughts ?

ok had a half set of screwdriver torx set in the back of the car been used a fair few times over last 5 years but the t20 has had it

im going to buy a set of 5 or 7 so thoughts on cheaper set are they any good bergen ebay set 7 £9 quid

or toolstation for 4 for £5.50 ish draper

or any others around this price

please no buy the best snap etc on i agree i would love a set but for how much i use them i cant pay that money this where free in a lot off stuff and done me ok for the times i used it

now got to the point i need a set as im fed up with messing around when playing with strimmers etc i got a allen key type torx but im getting fed up with taking out a buch of screws that should take 3 mins but take twice as long

on a side note can i just cut off the damaged end 1 or 2 mm and use it as a spare for the old one ?

Give it a little touch on a bench grinder and it should come up good

I have two sets. Screwdriver type are MacAllister from B&Q and "T" handle type from Lidl. Both get a lot of (DIY) use and seem to last well.

I have a set of seigen ones and are surprisingly good. And not ridiculous money.

I do have a set of snap on ones I will be listing for sale at some stage when I get to that draw in my toolbox.

If you are buying screwdriver types I think it's worth getting a tamperproof set if you can.

I bought the Draper torx ones at toolstation a few years ago, as I wanted one there and then, and had taken mine out of my van the day before.
They dont get all that much use, but havn't twisted the tips yet.

sorry dont think i made what i was looking for clear te torx sets im looking at at 15 20 25 30 sets or around that area

i got 3 sets of the smaller mobile phone sets types

i like the idea of the ball but find i got a set of allen key ones and when undoing ones that need lots of pressure they just dont do it normal fit gives more grunt with no damge to the screw

dont mind lidl stuff for the little use stuff but will be a year before there round again

I have these and they have been fantastic working on chainsaws. I recently returned a couple of Teng items and I had new ones a few days later.

Was more a suggestion to just buy a decent t20 for your fiver, never noticed it was ball end

I snapped a lidl t40(i think) just by looking at it out of the corner of my eye.
Bergen ok, again they all snap, especially smaller sizes, with any real force applied

^^^^^^got meny a sets of these but they dont let you get in to holes deeper than an inch
