hello.
i am looking for some info or tips to repair my mig welder its an older one but its in fairly clean state.
technical arc could help you
the problem it has is that the wirefeed keeps running even when not pressing the switch on the torch.
it wil not weld only the wire keeps running, even when you disconect the torch i keeps runnig so the problme is not in the torch. my grandpa sent the control board-box in for repair but they coud not repair it back then. there was an ic that they coud not order or find back then (fzj101 h4)
they did however replace 2 other ic's but that did not solve the problem...
now i have been reading on the internet and have seen some replace the control board with an other one or maybe there are more options now to repair the original control board.
any info is welcome.
i wil post pictures of the control board in next reply
Looking at those pics I wonder if you have a wiring fault somewhere? If you access the two wires at the torch switch, with the welder powered up and everything connected then you should see the same 35v DC from Test 3 at the two wires (not pressing the trigger of course). If you don't see the 35v then that confirms there's a break somewhere or the wiring is not correct.
Ok, if you can see the 35v at the torch switch then that sort of suggests the wiring is good. What happens to the 35v at the torch when you press the trigger?
Other question is it possible that the voltage on the pcb is comming from inside the welder and not from the pcb?
