Is it worth paying for training/codes,i always get mixed response to this question so i thaught i’d create a discussion? ,or is it better to just learn job to job

Im in a steady job at the moment but theres always room for improvement ,i just like to learn as much as i can

Codings are good, but it does nit mean you can weld a joint 6" off the floor.
It means you can weld that joint in a test condition on a bench

They don't last forever have to be re sat,

I did sit a few when I was on site steel erecting and fabing , was 30 years ago
I cannot remember what I had for tea last night though

Codings are very job specific though, I don't see the point in paying for them yourself, at best it just shows you're competent.
