This pic was taken today 2hrs after high water, didn't venture out at high water as the waves were crashing over my plasma shed and even heard them landing in the yard at my front door.

Big tide today and tomorrow so doesn't take much weather for sea to come over the wall.
This was taken at the same time, the water running down the road was seemingly just about at the top of the barrier at high water but as I said I stayed inside as I like to keep dry nowadays
My workshop is just to the left of the gas cylinder.

It does the job pretty well, the water inside is the remnants of the waves that came right over the wall and landed in the yard.

I wasn't too impressed with the ordinary VESA brackets for home use, never mind at sea, so I bolted my telly to a square of 3/4" plywood, so now no gales or storms will shift it.

Might have been better getting the holes in the house walls blocked up to save the gales buffeting the telly

I made a big meringue.

I started to make ice cream last night so I had four left over egg whites to get rid of.
Did it in a charity shop Kenwood Chef, it's louder than a square head Colchester and smells like burning enamel so I'm looking out for something a bit more skookum on eBay... an old Hobart should do the trick.

PS: Ice cream is currently setting in the fridge, it'll go in the freezer in a day or so, ready to be devoured by the locusts I seem to live with by the weekend.

I made a repair to the floorboard at the bottom of the stairs this morning, it had dropped about 1/2".
The reason for this was my 11 year old sliding down the stairs in a cardboard box and hitting the deck hard enough to break his arm a few weeks ago!

Thanks Parm, he's fine and back at school sports now.
I think what he forgot to factor in with his daredevil stunt is the fact our "stairs" are almost vertical!

Today I was being like a trendy Chef as I was DeConstructing

I started on removing a roller system that I put on the Cat about 1 1/2 years ago.

After a lot of swearing I got it dismantled enough to remove it and I must say mini diggers are handy things

This was the scene after I got it cleared.

This is what will be going in its place.

I have to cap the gunwale in Alu so I am starting that tomorrow as the gunwale is getting cleaned of gunge first and thankfully I have managed to escape that job

It's dust in the motor that makes them smell, get it used and it soon wears off. We have three of them, finest machines out for kitchen work. I have acquired and repaired them over the years and have several attachments and my wife wouldn't be without one. We have juicer, blender, mincer and pasta making attachments and use the dough hook to make bread as well. Last one I found in a skip with the wire cut off it. I fitted a new cable and plug,brushes and a speed controller repair kit for £10 off eBay and it's good for another 20 years. You can buy a new install motor for £86 which is twice the power and quieter than the original, that's my next plan if one packs up they are built like tanks and have a whole spares industry built up around them.
