Angle Grinder switch replacement

After taking it to pieces looking and testing all the parts found out it was the PCB inside the switch that's fried covered in black smoke.







Does anyone know where i can get a replacement rather than buy a new grinder it's a Draper 20914 .

When the switch went on mine I just swapped it out. Some grinders are just so cheap to replace

Yeah it was cheap just don't like throwing things away when they can be fixed but can't seem to find the part.

Funny I thought I had a broken switch the same as yours on my Metabo; found a spare part at Miles - https://www.mtmc.co.uk/Spare-Parts/Draper-Spare-Parts__c-p-0-0-240-12735430.aspx
Then when I replaced it I found it still didn't work - the problem was just a loose wire elsewhere in the lead
However the link does take you to Draper stuff.

£13.50 for a draper Angle grinder in halfords at the minute. I bought two yesterday.

I think they've disappeared like snow off a dyke. [not that I need to add to the 4 I already have....]

The two I've bought would make 4 i have in total but realistically i've bought them to replace them. They were getting a bit worse for wear with broken power cords and worn bearings etc.

I think the Metabo switch cost £13.50
I bet it’s nicer to use though, the blue Bosch one I had before was a lot shakier on the hand joints.

Can you get the switch apart? You might be able to repair it by getting rid of the pcb & just using the contacts to operate the grinder, assuming it has contacts. All a grinder switch needs is 2 pairs of contacts, the pcb is just for suppression or a soft start. If only one contact is still working use it for the live & connect the neutral direct.
