I watched the Guy Martin program and enjoyed it but it did highlight just how crazy Sabine's lap was. I think she did 10.08 or something like that but she did it in a standard diesel van that they taken every bit of excess weight off, no helmet and a normal tourist day.I loved her running commentary, "ABS gone,No brakes,Engine light on" Guy was running with 750bhp mid mounted engine and the track to himself. I reckon she could put his van round in under 9mins easy but she's 50K laps and he's probably done 50

It was Clarkson and she didn't beat him. He was trying break 10mins in a Jag diesel and did she said she could do that time in a van but Hammond was in the van with her on the first run but they outed him to save weight.

Watching her in the van was incredible, I know a guy who's been in the ring taxi and he said she's amazing

Yeah it was an off the cuff comment from her about being able to do under 10 mins in a van after Clarkson had managed it in the Jag diesel. It was a later episode where Hammond went back with Sabine and a van.

It would have been interesting to see her or even the bloke who's record Guy beat driving Guy's van. Same way that it would be interesting to see what Guy could do with more laps and maybe even a little more development work on the van - stopping it from catching fire would be a start.

As you say Sabine has done 1000 times more laps than Guy has.

I'm pretty sure the net result would be the same if Sabine drove the TT course.
