It will matter to “some” drives that’s why they specify what you can use (eg if it. asked for a 5k max and you fitted 10k you might not get the full speed range) - they use the voltage drop across the resistor to calculate span, and the wiper is the setpoint - but in this case it looks like the right one is fitted anyway.5k or 10k shouldn't matter, all it does is split the voltage to give you a variable output. Too low an ohms value is worse than too high, usually.
