Tools in at Lidl again

Picked one of their 6 to 32mm combi spanner sets up for £30 this morning. Should be good enough for farm use/rolling about in the pickup.

Plunge saws, oscillating saws, sanders etc. in as well.

I got them spanners this morning great for mobile work when you tend to leave things behind you.

Even with a quality set of spanners, why don't they include a 29 or 31mm ? At first I thought that maybe you couldn't get a nut or bolt head in those sizes but you can,....I ended up using an adjustable.

Anyway this Lidl set may not be the best but it's good to have another set, sometimes space/clearance issues means that a particular spanner is too long to get in there,....I'd rather cut down one of these than a spanner from an expensive set.

There's 2 different socket sets in it. The smaller one at £20 has wobble extension bars included but the 4-19mm sockets are thin wall & 12 point. The larger one at £25 is a 6 point wall drive set with tommy bars & covers 4-21mm.

I dithered for ages on which one to buy, I wanted a set of wobble bars but the larger set was much better. I got to the till with the £25 set, then went back again to look at the £20 set but eventually went home with the £25 set.

New Lidl has opened up near me, ever the romantic took the misses, she fancied a waffle maker and I picked up one of these parkside grinders - only fair and she's no good at maths
V solid construction, feels really well made, chomped through 2mm mild plate fine as a test, variable speed is nice, battery & charger extra £18 with life indicator. Take what you're saying on the 2mAH but for non commercial use I'm pleased for the money.

1st criticism would be the bulky guard which you have to drop to be able to fit a cupped flap wheel for example, be modifying that bit..

If you look carefully the 2 halves of the guard are spot welded together. Drill those out with a spot weld drill & you end up with a normal grinder guard!

I bought one of those, liked it but yes had to modify the guard to get the Parkside flap wheels to fit. One benefit is it runs a lot slower and quieter than a mains one.
Makes great waffles too.
