Welder running off generator

Morning all, I have a job to Do for a friend where there is no power. Few options, just a quick question about one of them for those in the know.
Would this:

Welding is no more than 6inch runs at a time, but pushing on max amps.
My worry is the start amps needed?

Sorry I should have put that I know it states 10KVA, but it says “based on an assumed load of 0.8”, so wasn’t sure if it would still be ok?
Seems like a pretty good price, with two year warranty compared to all others that start off around £1500.

Wouldn't the idea of getting maybe a half decent welder genny be better use,just the one tool to lug around then,if you're just doing MMA of course

That is one of the options lol, although I need to do MAG mainly and some TIG, so would need a wire feeder with CV genny and the TIG wouldn’t be as good. Also that’s now starting to talk some fair cash lol

Ive tried running inverters on the minimum required generator. Always got a crap arc, even when running 2,5mm rods. That was off my fronius transpocket.

You knocking on good money there Dave, can you not buy an mosa or even better a used Shindaiwa?

Hmm yes it’s probably not ideal, wouldn’t really be using it for stick, mostly MAG and some tig.
Yeh I have been looking out for a mosa or similar, still looking at a lot more than this combo, with wire feeder too.
The other things were appealing were the small footprint as don’t have much space and also can use welder separately in workshop.

Don’t know in that case, if we don’t run the shindiawa 165 we usually have power onsite.

Fuel driven welders are very economic to hire these days.

Thing that annoys with the 575 and there is no off switch for it on that but I found a way of tricking it

Hire the proper kit.
Get yourself a cc/cv with a suitcase feeder for the duration of the job.
If the jobs priced properly the hire costs could nicely find there way into the customers quote.
