how clean is *your* shed?

If someone else is paying my wages and they pay for me to tidy I am quite capable of doing that and have no problem in doing so.
As I said earlier when I am out working on a boat or in someone else's workshop then everything is tidied and put back where I got it.
My own time, my own workshop then I do as I am happy and comfortable with and if you don't like it you can get in the flipping sea

It's your workshop you can do what you like I couldn't care less. You can take my comments personally if you like, they weren't aimed at you or anyone in particular but is my opinion. I read your comments and couldn't care less that you think messy is ok, your opinion on this topic is polar opposite which is fine by me, don't blow a valve.

hands up anyone with a wooden board on the wall painted and all there spanners drawn round and hung up probably nothing ever gets done and there for show

Mine are in small filing drawers, so less chance of rust. The measuring instruments and other small files etc come indoors in winter, in an old style cantilever toolbox ..much to wife's disapproval : )

I don’t do shadow boards because they look awful especially you lose a tool.
I’ll freely admit it I’m terrible for keeping my things clean, in order and homed. I clean as I go and I don’t leave things laying about. I hate cables laying around more than anything and I can’t stand oily swarf. Is it counter productive well yes to the degree I take it, it probably is but hey I know where my stuff is so it works.

I have an old Henry hoover in the shed , little Zyto lathe gets used/ gets Henried , vice gets used / gets Henried....
