Product review- dewalt impact gun DCF899P2

Hi guys,

Right I’ve had the dewalt 18v impact for well over 6 months now and it’s going strong.
There has not been one bolt it’s hasnt been able to undo. Even a crank bolt on an engine (Vauxhall’s 4 pot) that normally requires heat and a 6ft staff pole to retrieve.
It has sheared a couple of bolts I have Ben a bit over keen on lol.
950nm of torque is hefty.
So I highly recommend this for heavy duty use. Came with x2 5ah batteries which last ages.

Out performed a snap on one I had and air ones I’ve had

I just managed to pick one of these up with 2 x 4ah batteries for £200, hardly been used by the looks of it - so I’m glad to read this

I’ve got some blades to shift off a ride on mower shortly that proved really stubborn when I did one with a socket set a while back (trying to jam the pulley against something and then trying to get enough leverage on the other side to take the blade off). I have a little 12v sparky impact that might “just” have done the job but I didnt need much of an excuse to get another tool

I’ve got one of these, use it with my flexvolt batteries.
I use it to put concrete bolts in amongst other things.
Very powerful gun.

Yeah it came off eventually - it was just a royal pain in the butt (doing it in the middle of a field with limited tools didn’t help.)

The power of these battery impact guns need to be respected. I have snapped a few bolts with my Milwaukee one when being trigger happy

Funny I've never snapped one with mine (the really big one) but snap plenty when undoing them by hand. Usually because the big one is too big to get into most places.

Mines the 18V 3/8 fuel one & it loves snapping bolts if you give it the chance
