Made the mistake of buying a Silverline branded box of various sized screws from Toolstation. Hopeless. Slightest pressure and they are ruined. Can't imagine what they are made out of.

Possibly the same stuff that some drill bits I bought from Carrefour were made from. In use the sharp end became a blob and the shaft of the drill took on an interesting banana shape.

Friend of mine used a new 18v black and decker impact driver to try and free a tek screw galv painted to a steel frame. The shaft of the drill snapped before the screw came loose. Guess country of origin...
