When you have no option a 45 bevel to depth looks reasonable.

Use a mill and set the stock on the bed. Use the quill with a clock and run up and down the blade.
Turns out the piece of skirting I cut must have been on the **** in the saw as the blade is cock on square!
I just have to buy the right size architrave to match the skirting now, seems 14.5 mm architrave doesn't look to good next to 18mm skirting.....
Bad day very bad day!
School boy error. Always take an ofcut.^^^ I've got to do the whole house so need to get it right!
I've just bought some correctly sized 18mm Ogee architrave only to get it home and its nothing like the Ogee I've already got! Ffffff
Really getting peed off with something that should be so simple.
taking an offcut doesn't allways workSchool boy error. Always take an ofcut.
Learnt by the same mistake years back.
But slightly different is acceptable as long as the grooves etc line up reasonably well.taking an offcut doesn't allways workthe stock they have are all machined on a run . then the blades on the spindle moulder are taken off and sharpened so the next batch that's cut are slightly different

Wickes mouldings always seem to be off compared to most. Completely different layout barely taurus/ogee
Howdens my prefered choice fpr mouldings these days unless timber is specced
Doesnt make much difference. The missus called it a school boy error!
I wanted to buy from Wickes or B&Q as the work will span at least a year and I need to be able to pick up more identical profile mouldings. I just thought that would be the best way to do it.
